The creation of Palladium was a 15-year process that included a number of challenges and special aspects, including
- A three year archeological dig and the integration of archeological artifacts in the final buildings
- Preservation of the adjacent church throughout construction, including providing temporary lodging for the resident monks
- Renovation and reconstruction of 2 historical monuments, in cooperation with the heritage authorities
- Preservation of Prague’s skyline, under UNESCO world cultural heritage protection
- Renovation of the original riding hall roof according to traditional methods
- Inner-city construction with limited road access and many neighbors; a construction process coordinated in respect of local needs
- Conversion of a through street back to the traditional Republic Square, including reconstruction of a tram line and improvement of a metro station
- Commissioning and permanent exhibition of 6 original artworks by local artists
