The construction of the first multiplex in the Karlovy Vary region under the Premiere Cinemas brand begins. It is being built in the reconstructed Varyáda shopping center.
The construction of the Premiere Cinemas multiplex in the Varyáda shopping center in Karlovy Vary has begun.
“We will equip our new cinema in Karlovy Vary with projection and sound technology, which also includes laser projectors and Dolby Atmos multi-channel surround sound.
We are currently finalizing the selection of specific types of equipment and intend to install the most advanced models here,” said David Horáček, co-owner of Premiere Cinemas.
The concept of the Karlovy Vary multiplex will also include Premiere VIP, i.e. electrically reclining chairs and a VIP lounge with free popcorn and draft drinks.
The opening of the new cinema is planned for the summer of next year, which will offer a total of six halls with a capacity of up to 1,000 seats on an area of 2,500 m². “In addition to screening current movie hits, the premises will be able to be used as congress halls for companies or organizations. This will be a great benefit for the city, which has so far lacked suitable and extensive facilities for these kind of occasions.
The new premises will provide ideal conditions for conferences and corporate events, which will contribute to the further development of the local economy and support the business environment,” said Martin Malý, director of marketing and communication of EPG Group.
The construction of Premiere Cinemas is a milestone for the entire region, which is the last of the Czech regions that still lacks its own multiplex.
The possible cooperation of Varyáda with the organizers of the Karlovy Vary IFF will still be discussed.
Premiere Cinemas operates multiplexes in Prague, Olomouc and Teplice. The owner is a private Czech company.
