The long-awaited ceremonial opening of the prestigious Palladium complex in the centre of Prague is rapidly approaching. The spectacular program for the public is jam-packed with famous moderators, singers and musicians, including Dan Bárta, Peha, Support Lesbiens and many others. The show starts on Thursday October 25th at 5 p.m. at náměstí Republiky. The first visitors will enter Palladium at 10 p.m. after an exciting fireworks and musical show which is the pinnacle of the evening. 170 shops and 30 restaurants, bars and cafés on five floors promise to make Palladium to one of the top shopping and dining destinations in Prague.

Palladium was developed by the European Property Development, a major player on the Prague real estate market since 1989. The construction of Palladium on the site of the former barracks at náměstí Republiky commenced in May 2005. The complex has a total area of 115,000 m², including retail and dining areas, first class office space and a public underground garage. The unique architecture sensitively blends the historical with the contemporary. The creative design includes three major archaeological findings – remains of Romanesque palaces, works of art, and fountains. Together, these features create an ambience which is second-to-none in Prague.

A total of five floors offer a myriad of shops featuring the latest fashion trends. The retail mix includes prominent fashion stores as well as a supermarket and food specialities, books, toys, household goods, drugstores, perfumeries, and other consumer goods. The Palladium truly offers something for every taste. The anchor tenants include well established retail brands such as Marks&Spencer, H&M, C&A, Sportisimo, Reserved, Albert, Esprit, Sparkys, Neopalladium – palace of books, and others. Palladium is also bringing new names to the Prague market, such as the Italian fashion brand Conbipel, Estonian fashion chain Monton, Swedish Marc O’Polo, British Topshop and Ann Christine – a brand of the New Yorker group. The centre also offers a colourful blend of 30 restaurants, bars and cafés, all of various types, styles and cuisine. In all, this creates a one stop dining destination unparalleled in Prague.

Palladium regular opening hours are daily from 7 a.m. While shops will be open until 10 p.m., restaurants and bars will welcome guests until 3 o’clock in the morning.

The Opening program on Thursday Oct. 25th at náměstí Republiky will be jointly moderated by popular moderators Eva Aichmajerová and Leoš Mareš. In the course of the five hour show, Dan Bárta and the philharmonic orchestra, Support Lesbiens, Iva Frühlingová, Peha, Inflagranti, Ewa Farna, Sámer Issa and Brouci will all grace the Palladium stage. The program will also include the first round of the competition “Dancer of the Year”.

An exciting program, a number of gifts and substantial discounts await visitors to Palladium throughout the Opening Weekend, from Friday Oct. 26th to Sunday Oct. 28th.
