Pets are now allowed in Varyáda. However, they must be on a leash and wear a muzzle.

Karlovarskydenik.cz published an article about a new feature at our Varyada shopping center, where we now allow customers to bring their dogs inside:

“The Varyáda shopping center in Karlovy Vary is striving to offer additional benefits to its customers. It is one of the few shopping centers where people can bring their four-legged pets—specifically, dogs. The policy has only been in effect for a few days. However, dog owners must respect the individual rules of each store; some tenants will not allow pets inside. Dogs are still not allowed in Albert or the entire food court.

“We want customers to feel at home here at Varyáda. For many of them, that also means being able to bring their four-legged companion along. That’s why, starting April 11, we’ve allowed pets into our center. We believe that by following clearly defined rules, everyone—including our animal visitors—will enjoy shopping at Varyáda,” says Martin Malý, Director of Marketing and Communications at EPG Group, which owns the Varyáda shopping center.

Dogs are allowed in all common areas

Dogs are allowed in all common areas of the shopping center. However, whether they are admitted to a specific store is up to the store’s tenant. Each operator may have different policies regarding admission and, of course, has the right to refuse entry to a pet if they so choose. That is why Varyáda asks customers to respect the individual rules at each store. “Individual stores have their own rules regarding pets. Dogs are still prohibited from entering the hypermarket, the food court, and other establishments intended for the production, sale, or serving of food,” notes the shopping center team.

All dog visitors—or rather, their owners—are subject to standard general rules. Dogs must always be kept on a short leash and, of course, must wear a muzzle unless they are in a special carrier or bag. The owner must also be prepared in case their pet accidentally relieves itself in the center—they must therefore have waste bags and are required to clean up after their pet.

“We previously launched the same concept at the Central Most shopping center in Most, where it has been operating without any complications. Although there were concerns about potential problems before the launch, none of them materialized in practice. On the contrary, it turned out that visitors are considerate and respect the rules,” adds Director Malý.
